NACC; Native American Culture Club has been implemented at Rock Point, and has been in effect for years.  The club contains Pow Wow and Song and Dance.   Students from Kindergarten to 12th grade can participate as long as they have permission from their parents.  Sponsors are usually staff from the school and can be parents from the community.  Students will sign up at the beginning of the school year and stay in the club all year long.  These students get to travel to other schools to perform or compete.  They also perform for schools and other organizations.

Rock Point Community School runs their song and dance festival every year.  Their festival is usually around late January or early February.  They do the festival while it’s still kind of cold, because they include Ye’ii Bicheii, Fire Dances and Shoe games.  This festival is usually open for all interested schools.  There is usually no registration fee.  The festival for SY’2007/08 is on January 30-31. 2008.  For more information call Roger P. Benally; (928) 659 – 4221, ext. 243.  email: rogerb@rpcs.bia.edu
