Rock Point Elementary School

We would like to welcome you to the Rock Point Elementary page. On this page we will tell you how this elementary school provides an opportunity to acquire both Navajo and English languages. There are only a few schools that will provide you with a true language/ cultral-based and multi-culture instruction and we are proud to say that we are one of those schools. Just to give you a brief highlight about our school.Look below:
Teachers Our teachers are going to their best to teach your students. And they each have their masters. Also they are one of the best. They will help them in any way they can. This school is has the best teachers. If they have a problem They will talk it over with the other teachers to find out what is needed to help them.
Education Our school has a strong Reading, Language arts, English Language program that gave us a 6%in reading comprehension and 28% in language arts. We provide two hours of reading activities to increase reading fluency. Also our math program that gave us an increase of 32% NCER on the SAT 9 Test. The math program is language problems-solving based program that is appropriate for Native American students. We are going to coordinate the visual math program for computably skills
Work Our teachers work eight hours a day to teach the students. some will even stay after school to help those in need of help. But, some of the most important rule of our school is to help them in any way possible.
Language Our students to comprehend/understand the English language Structure, we teach the navajo literacy with cultural integration and called it the Dine Studies. Also this year, our plan is to involve grandparents in our Dine Studies so that our students will experience cultural activities to enhance their use of Navajo language.
School's Our school's goal is to teach each and every one of our students the language and the art of the school also to teach them, math and other things that may help our students in any way. We teach our students what it is like in the Real world. We shall prepare our students the best we can.
